The Intensive English Language Center (IELC) has been teaching students the English language skills needed to enroll in United States colleges and universities, as well as providing instruction to students wishing to improve their general English ability for professional or personal reasons. The IELC offers a full-time English program, with 20 class hours per week.The mission of the Intensive English Language Center is to provide quality English-language instruction and cultural orientation to international students and other non-native speakers of English in order to prepare them to become successful members of the academic and social community of the University of Nevada, Reno, and of the United States.
