Bachelor's degree (minimum 75% average) and an undergraduate philosophy course with substantial ethics content (e.g., Philosophy 2040: Moral Philosophy at Memorial University)
Students who have completed secondary schooling, an undergraduate program, or a graduate program at a recognized institution where the language of instruction is English will normally not require an English proficiency test. If the institution is located outside of Canada and/or the language of instruction is not clearly indicated on the official transcript, applicants are advised to provide a letter from their university stating the language of instruction.
TOEFL - Paper-based score of 550 or higher, or Internet-based with a score of 80 or higher.
IELTS - An average band score of 6.5 or higher on the academic test.

Two (2) letters of appraisal
To have an undergraduate degree from a university of recognized standing with at least a B+'' (75%) average.
To meet the Memorial University English proficiency requirements (the completion of an undergraduate degree at a recognized university where the language of instruction is English or the possession of satisfactory English testing scores).
To complete a pre-requisite course: An undergraduate philosophy course with substantial emphasis on moral theory (e.g. an introductory course in moral philosophy).
To provide satisfactory appraisals from two referees.
To include a sample of written work in moral theory, bioethics, or ethics more generally construed. This should be a paper submitted for your prerequisite course (described above).
