This qualification gives students a broad understanding of hospitality, and begins to explore in substantial depth, theoretical concepts relating to: business operations, hospitality budgeting, workplace diversity, legal knowledge for business, rostering, and service quality. Students are advised of the assessment requirements at the beginning of each unit. The assessment process will include a variety of tasks to demonstrate competence in the required skills and knowledge. Assessment continues throughout the program until the student either achieves competency in the assessment tasks or further training needs are identified and addressed.
