Minimum overall GPA of 3.3 (B+) on a 4.3 scale. Students not meeting this requirement but satisfying all other requirements will be considered in exceptional cases.
Honours undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognized institution. Students without an honours undergraduate degree will be considered in exceptional cases.
Demonstrated knowledge in criminology as is evidenced by the completion of an honours undergraduate degree in criminology. Students completing an honours undergraduate degree in disciplines contributing to criminology (e.g., sociology, political science, psychology) will be considered.

To be considered, an applicant shall hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.3 scale), over the last 60 credit hours or equivalent, from an institution recognized by the Senate and shall have a knowledge of the proposed field of specialization satisfactory to the graduate program concerned. Individual programs may have a higher requirement.

TOEFL iBT- minimum score of 80 overall with no band score below 20
TOEFL- paper-based - minimum 550
