Russian offers courses in the language from first through fourth year, as well as courses in Russian literature, linguistics, and civilization and culture. Russia has a rich culture, which is notable different from that of Western Europe.<br><br>The Russian major has an emphasis on the modern world on globalization. The Russian program extends outside the classroom, a weekly tea hour allows students from all levels of Russian to meet, play games, and practice informal Russian conversation. There's also the Russian Club, which holds a variety of different engagement activities of interest. Students are encouraged to participate in study abroad opportunities.<br><br>All liberal arts majors prepare students with the skills identified as contributing to managerial success: communicating and listening well, possessing insights into others, creative/critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to make connections across complex ideas.
