The Bachelor of Arts degree in gender, race, and identity provides a place for students looking for an academic home for interests in diversity, gender and sexuality, religious identity, conflict, oppression, social justice, or the intersections of race, class, and gender. Students in the major can apply knowledge in an active and activist application in the Department of Gender, Race, and Identity. The gender, race, and identity degree focuses on a range of human experiences and analyzes difference and oppression in its various forms on individuals and societies. The focus of the major is on diversity, equity and social justice to prepare students for careers in public advocacy, politics, sustainability, management and more.
