课程简介
Having a farm complex on campus is an integral part of the animal science program at Rutgers. You'll take practicums and conduct independent research in the handling, management, feeding, reproduction, physiology, and behavior of dairy heifers, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and laboratory animals. You will have the opportunity to participate in internships that offer college credit for work in a variety of settings, including veterinary practices, pharmaceutical companies and other industry research laboratories (and we encourage international experiences as well). You'll obtain the scientific knowledge, skills, and experience to be competitive for entry into veterinary, graduate, or medical schools or employment in animal science?related fields. Companies that conduct large and small animal research or develop and market human and animal health products or feeds/supplements provide numerous employment opportunities for our graduates. Commercial dairy, horse, and livestock farms, historical agricultural farms, and zoos also provide employment opportunities.
