As a community of active scholars, we endeavor to offer to all of our graduate students the opportunity for intellectual growth and interdisciplinary work within a multicultural environment, and to provide students with a rigorous theoretical foundation. The Graduate Program offers a wide range of courses, which reflect the faculty's varied interests and critical perspectives. Students are encouraged to undertake interdisciplinary research projects, which may have more than one theoretical focus. Our graduate faculty is research active, and the cordial intellectual climate within the department is reflected in the steady participation in conferences, symposia and research publication. In addition to the intellectual aspect, our program makes a solid commitment to all students in the area of professional development, so that they will be well versed in knowledge of the profession and the skills needed to be an active and participating member in it.
