Become a teacher with AUT's Master of Teaching and Learning, a one-year professional qualification for students with a bachelor's degree who want to work as an early childhood or primary/intermediate teacher. This one-year intensive programme runs longer than the standard academic year, with courses totalling 180 points. The difference between this master's degree and the postgraduate diploma is a 30-point research course in your second semester.<br><br>Specialise in either early childhood or primary teaching, and study courses focusing on curriculum and education theory. Youll also complete teaching practicums in an early childhood setting or a primary/intermediate classroom. After completing the Master of Teaching and Learning you can apply for provisional registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
