We normally expect applicants to have at least a second-class honours degree from a UK institution, or a qualification of an equivalent level, although preference is likely to be given to applicants with a Masters degree. We may consider applicants who don't meet these academic requirements if they have extensive relevant experience.
All applicants must include two references. These should normally be academic references, although applicants who have been out of education for more than three years may submit one academic and one professional reference.
IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 overall with no component less than 6.0
TOEFL Internet Based Test - 88 overall with a minimum of 19 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 19 in writing

课程简介
A PhD is awarded on the successful completion of a long programme of supervised research that will contribute new knowledge to your field. You will disseminate your findings by means of peer reviewed output and thesis. Final assessment consists of your thesis (of up to 100,000 words) and viva voce (an oral examination). Throughout your PhD journey, you will be supported with a programme of research training enabling you to develop transferable skills for your future. This is a Doctorate qualification. We also periodically recruit graduate training assistant studentships. If you take this route, you will complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education, and perform teaching in your subject area whilst studying for a PhD.<br>4 years full-time
