The Chemical Engineering graduate program currently offers Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Chemical Engineering. The program of courses and research for both the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are tailored to the background, needs and interests of the individual student.<br>Current areas of advanced study and research in chemical engineering at UNR include: Advanced soft-material manufacturing<br>Energy conversion and storage, Modeling and simulation, Process systems engineering, Protein engineering, Waste valorization<br>An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering to engineering problems.<br>An ability to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze and interpret data.<br>An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability constraints.
