Since its founding in 1888, Utah State University has evolved from a small-town college tucked away in the Northern Utah Mountains to a thriving research university respected around the world. The main campus at Logan is just minutes from two mountain ranges and within a half-day's drive of six national parks, including Yellowstone and Arches. Ten major ski resorts, many of which hosted sites for the 2002 Winter Olympics, lie within a two-hour drive of campus.
