UP Education has partnered with the University of Tasmania (CRICOS Code 00586B), one of the most unique study destinations in the world, and one that is rising fast in international rankings, to deliver a range of bridging programmes for international students to transition from their home country into the university.
Here's what's on offer:
The foundation studies programme is a direct academic pathway to first-year undergraduate degree study at UTAS, or equivalent. The programme acts as a bridging course for international students who wish to study the university's undergraduate degree course but don't yet meet academic requirements and/or English language skills for tertiary study.
International first year diplomas available in science (CRICOS course code 0100205) and business (CRICOS course code 0100203) are two-semester programmes that function as an alternative first year of an undergraduate degree for students who need additional academic and English support in their first year of undergraduate study. Successful completion of the course allows for direct entry into the second year of an undergraduate degree in the programme discipline.
Students with an undergraduate degree who need English language support and academic skills preparation can take up one of the following to progress directly into a postgraduate degree at the University - Postgraduate Pathways, Pre-Masters Preparation Program (CRICOS course codes 0102157) or Graduate Certificate in Business Studies.
The graduate certificate in business studies (CRICOS course codes 094432J) is a pathway that offers students without a first degree the opportunity to complete a postgraduate qualification in business and enhance their management skills within a two-year time frame.
University of Tasmania International Pathway College is where these programmes are delivered. Teaching is done face to face at UP Education and utilises a blended approach in a classroom setting. Classes introduce and develop in students knowledge and skills, with follow-up activities such as discussions, investigations, assignments and appropriate web-based and digital resources.
