Government Education and Training International (GETI) Tasmania is a State Government organization, operating within the Department of Education and represent Tasmanian Government education and training providers internationally. GETI Tasmania specializes in connecting international students and businesses with flexible education, skills and qualifications from local government education providers i.e. Tasmanian Government Schools (Year 1 to Year 12) and TasTAFE that provides Vocational Education and Training from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma. It also has a strong partnership with the University of Tasmania, providing study pathways with credit towards university degrees.
All campuses are serviced by canteens that serve both hot and cold food and drinks for students. Modern library and computer facilities are available on campus to all students throughout the study week. Most of the schools in the Tasmanian Government Schools Program offer a Buddy System. Students buddy will be a local Tasmanian student who can show them around the school, give them information on activities, and help them settle in and make friends.
Tasmania’s cities are safe, welcoming and offer a secure environment for study and living. It offers the chance to be part of a growing, thriving community; offering a lively cultural and arts scene, cafes and restaurants, markets and music festivals. Tasmania is also a place of natural beauty and with nearly half the state protected by World Heritage Area, national park or marine and forest reserve, it is no surprise that Tasmania has the cleanest air in the world.
