2023 HDR Curtin round - Biobased Coatings for H2 Storage and Transportation

The annual scholarship package (stipend and tuition fees) is approx. AUD $60,000 - AUD $70,000 p.a.

Successful HDR applicants for admission will receive a 100% fee offset for up to 4 years, stipend scholarships, valued at approx. AUD $28,800 p.a. for up to a maximum of 3.5 years, are determined via a competitive selection process. Applicants will be notified of the scholarship outcome in November 2022.

Eligibility criteria

The HDR applicant will have a strong interest in chemical synthesis, analytical techniques, characterisation, and transport phenomena. The applicant will be highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and as a part of the team.

The HDR applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills to facilitate publication of research outcomes. Prior experience in polymer design using bio-based materials and fundamental understanding of chemistry and molecular simulations will be highly regarded.

The HDR applicant is expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in close association with industrial stakeholders, and conduct research using the state-of-the-art analytical facilities at Curtin University.
