If, however, you like the idea of helping people by using scienceand want to be recognized for making a difference on a local and, possibly, global scaleconsider an undergraduate degree in Environmental Health and Toxicology (ENHT) from AUM.<br><br>In general, environmental scientists are problem solvers. They research environmental and health problems to determine their causes and come up with solutions. Those trained in environmental toxicology get involved when people, animals, and ecosystems are negatively affected by chemicals in the air, soil or water. These professionals study, measure and monitor the health effects associated with exposure to toxic chemicals in the natural, work, and living environments. Your career in this field might include: <br><br>Assessing environmental hazards derived from residential, industrial and/or agriculture chemical waste.<br>Employment in the private sector, for example, for pharmaceutical or petroleum companies that produce and commercialize chemical compounds.<br>Developing policy and safety protocols for the use and discharge of potentially harmful chemicals. Agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration or the Environmental Protection Agency employ such professionals.<br>Furthering your career options by pursuing a graduate degree in toxicology or environmental toxicology.
