A combination of studio classes, seminars, mock auditions and performances will prepare you to launch your career in music. As a student in this program, you will focus on improving your performance abilities through focused practice, individualized coaching and opportunities to play at solo recitals, in the opera pit, and at leading festivals and conferences around the country. During this program, you will perform two high-level public solo recitals, further your understanding of the historical and analytical components of music, and develop the playing skills necessary to work as a professional performer or music instructor.<br>The demand for musicians and teachers is expected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Upon graduation, you will be ready to pursue careers as a music teaching professional or musician for orchestras, ensembles, recording studios and other groups.
