Music students at Mason Gross School of the Arts have access to all the resources of a music conservatory situated within a nationally ranked research university. The Music Department aims to develop well-educated professional musicians with a complex historical and theoretical understanding of all aspects of music. The Music Department boasts a large and distinguished faculty of principals and members of the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
