The BA in Art with a concentration in Art Education prepares graduates to license as P-12 art teachers. Students in the program develop a range of visual art skills as well as a deep understanding of pedagogy.<br>The BA in Art prepares students for the important role that artistic and intellectual pursuits play in their lives and throughout our culture. It is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and provides an inclusive learning environment where creative expression, critical thinking, and collaboration are fundamental. The program embraces exploration and innovation, traditional and new technologies, and the complex history of art and design. The faculty of the program value the diverse community of artists and scholars necessary to solve problems within an increasingly complex visual culture.
