The Art Department offers both an Associate in Arts Degree and Certificates of Achievement programs. Various required and elective<br>courses focus on individual creative development and provide a broad range of classroom and studio experiences. Art courses<br>fulfill requirements for transfer or prepare students for careers requiring competency in visual media<br>Program Learning Outcomes<br>Students who complete the program will be able to:<br>Communicate and problem-solve in at least two media.<br>Write a visual analysis/critique of their own and others' art based on both form and content, and their relations to a global context.<br>Recall and summarize key movements in the history of art and contemporary art on a global scale and understand and articulate how this legacy influences their artwork.<br>Assemble a portfolio of strong artwork which collectively demonstrates skill, understanding of techniques in a given medium, originality, thoughtfulness, and personal expression
