课程简介
The LSU School of Art offers graduate students seven concentrations leading to the Master of Fine Arts: ceramics, digital art, graphic design, painting & drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The MFA is a three-year program. Students are required to complete 60 hours of coursework, a thesis paper, a public exhibition, and oral defense of their work.Studio art courses are designed to prepare students for various careers in the visual arts. Undergraduate students studying studio art learn to read the non-verbal language of art, to develop responses to visual phenomena, and to intuitively organize their perceptions and conceptualizations. Students become familiar with a number of art techniques and the major achievements in the history of art, understand and evaluate contemporary thinking about art and design, and learn to make valid assessments of quality in design projects and works of art.
