This program of study develops your skills in applied social research and the analysis of policy in social context. The core units, provided through the Department of Sociology, focus on designing and conducting applied research, on the evaluation process, and on understanding and analysing social policy. Units available for study within the program include those available within the Master of Policy and Applied Social Research. The program is intended to develop your capabilities in applied social research and policy development. It enables you to build conceptual understanding and practical skills across a range of areas, including qualitative and quantitative social research methods and research design, evaluation, and critical policy analysis.
