This course offers conceptual foundations in the practice of individual psychodynamic counselling and systemic couples and family therapy.The course provides first applied knowledge of counselling case management.<br><br>Course Learning Outcomes<br>Demonstrate currency with the theory of psychoanalytic technique as it pertains to individual counselling, including applied knowledge of the concepts transference and countertransference<br>Demonstrate advanced foundation knowledge of various psychodynamic and systemic couples and family therapy theoretical frameworks<br>Outline key principles of systemic theory to understanding couples and family functioning<br>Demonstrate a theoretical knowledge and first applied knowledge of counselling/psychotherapy case management<br>Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of ethical frameworks for counselling
