This course brings together a traditional discipline (literature) with a newer, pervasive and essential one (film and television studies). You will develop your understanding of: film television and literature their history aesthetics and social and cultural significance. Literature modules for the course are designed by English and Comparative Literary Studies. As you move through the degree, you'll be able to specialise in topics of particular interest. Our small classes mean you'll be taught by world-leading academics who share your passion for the subject. You'll also be able to take advantage of our thriving extracurricular culture. This can include writing, blogging about, making or screening films. You will graduate with the skills to research and write to a very high standard. You will also have an exceptional level of audio-visual literacy.
