The Accounting, Finance and International Business programme at Keele encourages you to take a critical and globalised approach to the theory and practice of management and finance. This programme will encourage you to take a critical and globalised approach to the theory and practice of management and finance. Finance modules are designed to help you better understand the theories leading to the design of financial institutions, the services they provide and the products they sell. The topics covered range from optimal portfolio creation and management, to project appraisals and financing, to risk management through the use of such derivatives as options, futures and swaps. Our modules are accredited by chartered organisations such as CIMA. Alongside this you will learn how to use industry standard software such as Bloomberg and Sage to organise, present and analyse business data. You can take a placement year between years two and three of your studies, giving you valuable opportunities to apply theories and concepts to real world organisations.
