A minimum 3.00 grade point average (GPA) in a completed undergraduate degree program
Applicants for admission to the MAT – Art Education program must hold a BFA or equivalent bachelor's degree in the appropriate area. All applicants must also satisfy the Board of Education admission requirements. A GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 semester hours of upper-division undergraduate study and passing scores on GK or GRE.

Application materials must include two (2) letters of recommendation, a resume, a statement of personal philosophy/professional goals consistent with the objectives of the master's program.

After submission of application, applicants must schedule a portfolio interview with the program director. The Portfolio should contain fifteen (15) pieces of artwork including at least three (3) drawings.
