课程简介
The Sport Management specialization is an MS degree (non-thesis) offered through a unique curriculum which focuses on interdepartmental collaboration. Specifically, graduate students pursuing this MS degree are encouraged to schedule courses in other departments on campus in addition to the established core curriculum, which focuses on organizational behavior and theory, finance, social issues, and law. Unique among graduate-level sport management curricula, LSU's program utilizes other programs in the School of Kinesiology and College of Human Sciences and Education, fosters interaction within the highly respected E.J. Ourso College of Business, and supports engagement with the Manship School of Communication among other well-renown academic opportunities to help students acquire the information and skills they need to be successful in their desired career path. Another prominent feature of the program is a semester-long internship wherein the students work extensively in a selected area of sport management. Sites for internships have included the National Senior Games, Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation, the Texas Rangers (Major League Baseball), the Washington Wizards (National Basketball Association), the offices of the Southeastern Conference, and various offices within LSU athletics.

Overall, the sport management program prepares students for careers regarding the business and managerial aspects of recreation and sport.
