We offer students in the field a broad range of courses in politics, public policy and administration to prepare students for graduate work in public administration, political science, or public law and/or employment in the public or non-profit sectors.Courses students may choose from include the following: Public Administration, State and Local Government, Government in Metropolitan Areas, Non-Profit Management, Bureaucracy in the Public Policy Process. Political science is the study of politics and its connection to human life. As a political science major, you will examine such areas as the relationships between law and political institutions, economic and political power, and culture and political identity. You also will have many opportunities for engaged learning, including internships, travel abroad programs and a spring break trip to Washington, D.C.
