国际学生入学条件
Secondary educational systems vary across the globe. The United States has a 12-year secondary educational system. Many countries have 10, 11, or 13-year secondary educational systems. If you have attended school in a country where the secondary system differs from the United States, you may be eligible for admission. Each undergraduate admissions application is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The International Admissions Office completes in-house evaluations of all international credentials and coursework. If a student has attended an educational institution within the U.S., official documents must be sent directly from the institution to WKU. Students may provide a color scan of credentials earned outside the U.S. While an admission decision can be made based upon scanned documents, students are required to present official documents to the International Admissions Office upon arrival to campus. Consulates & embassies often serve as a resource for the attestation of educational documents.
Official Academic Records from schools attended with grades and any degrees/diplomas/certificates received. Should also include a literal English translation.

课程简介
The Department of Sociology & Criminology is a student-centered department, offering programs and course work designed to expand awareness and understanding of the social causes and consequences of human behavior in groups, including diverse societies, cultures, and organizations. Completion of our curriculum provides you with the following skills: The capacity to explore, describe, explain, and evaluate the social world by utilizing the techniques of systematic observation. Data Literacy skills necessary to understand and communicate societal characteristics found in numeric, and graphic forms. Effective written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively frame and solve problems in a team setting. Empathetic listening skills necessary for developing successful social media and other marketing campaigns, consulting, and entrepreneurship endeavors. Students studying Sociology develop the ability to answer these questions, and understand the limitations of their conclusions. The skills you need to succeed in a 21st century career include creativity, innovation, critical thinking, analytic problem-solving, communication, collaboration, multicultural and global understandings, and expressive and persuasive writing skills. Because career advancement in an increasingly diverse, global society requires the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people from different cultures, ethnicities and nationalities, sociological coursework is uniquely suited to help you develop such skills. With a degree in Sociology, students have a foundation for both understanding and working in a globalizing world. We offer three degree paths to complete the Sociology major. Students can pursue the General Major without Concentration or choose one of the following Concentrations: Inequality & Social Change, Community Enviornment & Development, or Family Gender & Sexuality.
