Applicants to the MA and the MA/MPA program must:

Complete a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
Submit official transcript(s) showing all course work from undergraduate and graduate schools. The minimum GPA for admission is 3.0.
Complete an undergraduate course in statistics and another in research methods. This requirement can be fulfilled after admission. Prior coursework or experience in criminal justice is also recommended.
Submit the results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Results must be received directly from the Educational Testing Service. Results of laws school (LSAT) or business (GMAT) exams may be substituted in place of the GRE. The GRE requirement is waived for applicants who received their baccalaureate degree 10 or more years prior to application or who have worked in the field of criminal justice for 10 or more years.
Submit three letters of recommendation. Academic recommendations are preferred.
Submit a statement of purpose.
Submit a brief resume if one’s work experience is relevant to the application.
TOEFL: The minimum internet-based TOEFL score is 79, IELTS: An acceptable IELTS score is 6 or greater.
