Through Baylor's Master's in International Journalism program, students can experience in-depth research opportunities, studying journalism and its application around the world. Students will gain confidence in their research and will be expected to contribute to the department's research pursuits. This interdisciplinary M.I.J. readies students for exciting careers in foreign correspondence and international mass communication.The M.I.J. requires 30 semester hours of course work and a six-hour internship abroad. M.I.J. students have completed internships in Europe, South America, Canada, Asia and Africa with news, public relations, government and faith-based organizations.<br><br>Before going abroad, students must demonstrate proficiency in a language different than their first. Most students in the M.I.J. program study a language at Baylor before starting their internships.
