These represent just a few of the types of courses offered by the Department of Jewish Studies at Rutgers, which takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of all aspects of Jewish life. You'll choose from among 60 plus courses that address the historical, social, cultural, religious, and political life of the Jewish people from ancient times to the present. The department also encourages students to study Jewish life beyond the classroom through internships, study abroad, and a variety of public programs sponsored by the Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life, including the annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival. Financial support is available to qualified students for study abroad and other scholarly pursuits in Jewish Studies.
