Accelerated master's degree programs are designed for Mason's highly qualified and highly motivated undergraduates. The Accelerated pathway offers many benefits such as: A streamlined application process with no application fee, Reduced tuition for graduate credits and Opportunity to study in a small seminar format with graduate students and faculty. Students admitted to an accelerated master's degree program have the opportunity to complete both degrees in a reduced amount of time, and at a reduced cost. Highly-qualified undergraduates pursuing a BA may apply to the accelerated master's degree in Middle East and Islamic studies. If accepted, and depending on their undergraduate major, students will be able to earn a bachelor's degree in their chosen major and a master's degree in Middle East and Islamic studies after satisfactory completion of 144 credits, sometimes within five years.
