The Department of Classics offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics. The program of study includes courses chosen from the Greek (modern or ancient) or Latin language, art and archaeology, literature, studied in the original language or in translation, and the classical tradition and heritage of the Mediterranean civilizations. Students may participate in excavations, travel, or study abroad programs in Egypt, Greece, and Italy. The Department also offers museum internship opportunities. In addition, a number of courses offered in the Department of Classics are cross listed and may be used toward a major or minor in other undergraduate programs.
