All applicants must have an undergraduate degree in psychology or a related discipline (i.e. child development, education, social work) from a regionally accredited college or university AND satisfy the prerequisite course requirements (see below). Satisfying the prerequisite course requirements in-and-of themselves does NOT supplant the requirement for a relevant undergraduate degree. Applicants must also have an overall undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

课程简介
The program combines a master's degree in School Psychology (M.A.) with a credential authorizing service in California as a school psychologist. The program is accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). <br><br>Role of the School Psychologist<br><br>As per the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), school psychologists provide direct support and interventions to students, consult with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals (i.e., school counselors, school social workers) to improve support strategies, work with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies, and collaborate with community providers to coordinate needed services. They help schools successfully:<br><br>Improve Academic Achievement<br><br>Promote student motivation and engagement<br>Conduct psychological and academic assessments<br>Individualize instruction and interventions<br>Manage student and classroom behavior<br>Monitor student progress<br>Collect and interpret student and classroom data<br>Reduce inappropriate referrals to special education
