This course is aimed at those who seek to establish or further their careers in the power, oil and gas, mining and alternative energy industries. The energy industries, which include power, oil and gas, mining and renewable energy, are among the few that are growing worldwide, as the transition to a low carbon economy gathers pace. Demand will be high for managers with specific knowledge of these industries and the new challenges they face, such as decommissioning, IT impacts or regulated pricing. Our course aims to equip those who see promise and opportunity for themselves in this rapidly changing set of businesses. The Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) is one of the few centres in UK universities with the background and specialist skills to offer such a course. Over the past few years it has been high successful in developing its teaching, research and industry contacts in management. Courses are designed in conjunction with industry specialists and industry related learning is a core element of all courses in the Centre.
