This three-year Building Renovation Technology Advanced Diploma program will prepare students to plan, implement, and lead building and renovation projects and equip them with the skills to manage the technical and business operations related to a range of building projects in the residential and light commercial sectors of the construction industry.<br>The program will address the changes in the Ontario Building Code, introduced in January 2017, which dramatically increased the requirement for buildings to be sustainable and highly energy efficient.<br>The Building Renovation Technology program offers a cooperative education component, which provides students the opportunity to gain invaluable first-hand workplace experience within their chosen field. Here are some co-op jobs that have kick-started the careers of some Building Renovation Technology students before even graduating.<br>Graduates of Fanshawe's Building Renovation Technology program can find employment in entry level positions in residential and light commercial sectors of the construction industry, including custom homebuilders and renovators, carpenters, general contractors, home and building inspectors, estimators, energy efficiency and green/sustainable builders and project managers.
