The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers coursework leading to a Master of Science in Education with a major in Curriculum and Instruction. The degree program enables candidates to acquire in-depth knowledge in an area of specialization, enhance their understanding of student diversity, apply theory and research to the classroom setting, and develop the ability to serve as leaders in schools or programs. Candidates complete projects with students in many of the courses and conduct an action research project in the capstone experience to demonstrate their ability to implement a new instructional approach that leads to greater student learning.
