This program is designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in PK-12 administration and higher education administration. Coursework focuses on building your skills in collaborative problem solving, strategic planning, intergroup functioning, technological proficiency, effective communication and problem analysis while providing you with the theoretical framework needed to address current issues facing the field. Our goal is to help you become an innovative leader who acts ethically, strives for equity in education, incorporates culturally responsive practices, builds and supports rigorous and coherent curriculum systems, cultivates inclusive, caring and supportive school communities, creates environments that foster student success, and manages school operations and resources effectively. This program consists of interdisciplinary coursework and an applied research dissertation project where you will make original contributions to the higher education field. Students are expected to complete this program over a four-year period.
