The secondary education program offers students a strong liberal arts education with emphasis in the particular academic discipline in which the student will be teaching. The Secondary Education program leads to a bachelor's degree in the College of Education and Human Development. Students have the option of combining this with a degree in their content area-sometimes requiring no increase in the total credits required.<br><br>The College of Education has a number of amazing resources available to students to purse their education careers. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is the College’s dedicated library full of children’s books and other materials designed for curriculum enrichment, lesson enhancement and professional development. The library also has an extensive collection of juvenile books to enhance lessons and presentations. In addition, the library houses the art room - a self-use facility that offers students a full complement of equipment, such as laminators, poster printers and a lettering machine, for producing education materials. In addition, the College of Education has a dedicated computer lab with all the latest software just for education majors to use.
