Our research on diverse organisms (from viruses to humans) spans the “skin-in” approach of molecular, cell, and developmental (MCD) biology and “skin-out” approach of ecology, evolution, and behavior (EEB).<br><br>Our faculty members teach in their areas of expertise and offer new courses and other educational opportunities for our students. We host academic and social events, such as our weekly Colloquium, an annual Research Symposium, and regular social hours and “data talks” by our researchers. Students have many opportunities to get involved in the research being done in our vibrant labs and can apply for merit-based departmental scholarships and awards.
