Skilled welders are highly sought after and well paid. Learn the specialized skills of the trade on industry-standard machines in our 4,700 sq. ft. lab. You will learn multiple welding processes at one of the 33 individual welding stations, including shield metal arc welding (SMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), gas metal arc (GMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), FUSION welding, brazing, and cutting techniques. Skills learned are highly transferable and versatile as welding is used in several trades including electrical and automotive. Graduates will have completed all position welding training and possible Canadian Welding Bureau Certification. Learn multiple welding processes and prepare for CWB exams. Learning outcomes represent culminating demonstrations of learning and achievement. In addition, learning outcomes are interrelated and cannot be viewed in isolation of one another. As such, they should be viewed as a comprehensive whole. They describe performances that demonstrate that significant integrated learning by graduates of the program has been achieved.
