The MBS track in GIS provides an in-depth, interdisciplinary examination on the emerging discipline of GIS and T, addressing such issues as the theoretical basis of the study of geospatial information, its diverse applications in science, government and commerce, and the societal/environmental implications of GIS technology. As part of the coursework, students will be exposed and be provided the opportunity to become technically proficient in a variety of geospatial technologies through hands-on instruction. The focus is on hands-on application of GIS. In addition, students gain exposure to business courses and business case development through the MBS business curriculum.
