With roots dating back to 1854, UNB's Civil Engineering department has a long and prestigious history. Our graduate program has helped hundreds of students cement the necessary engineering skills to plan, design and manage the essential infrastructure of modern society.<br><br>From highways and bridges to water treatment plants and energy-efficient buildings, UNB provides our graduates with a solid foundation to build exciting careers with consulting engineering companies, NGOs, provincial and federal government agencies, and academic and research organizations around the world.<br><br>The program generally has between 40 and 60 graduate students conducting research in all the major sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering. MEng students often complete their program on a part-time basis.<br><br>Duration (full-time attendance): One to two years (MEng), Two years (MScE), Three to four years (PhD).<br>Entry Terms: Fall and Winter for MEng, Fall, Winter and Summer for MScE and PhD.
