The Engineering Transfer program requires that you complete one year of calculus and one year of calculus-based physics. After that preparation, you can enter a sequence of 3 mechanical engineering courses or 1 electrical engineering course. To round out your transfer preparation, you will also complete some science, advanced math and computer science coursework.<br><br>You can apply to transfer directly into the UW engineering department as a junior if you have taken 90 credits distributed appropriately for each department with a satisfactory GPA. You can complete all the lower division classes at North and can expect to do as well as students who started out at UW as freshmen. Students transferring to other 4-year colleges should contact an adviser and plan to complete the AS degree (option 2).<br><br>The Engineering program accommodates a wide range of preparation among students. You'll have one-to-one contact with faculty members who engage directly with you and support your learning, have master's degrees and experience in the job world, and see teaching as their first objective.
