As a Mechanical Engineering student, you’ll learn to analyze, design, manufacture and maintain mechanical systems in a variety of industries, including robotics, unmanned systems, biomedical device design, power generation systems, turbo machines and more. As a UMKC student, you’ll have access to some of the most cutting-edge technology in the mechanical engineering industry at the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise and Research Center, which opened in 2020. Mechanical engineers design the world we live in by creating and improving the mechanical systems that support aviation, energy conversion, environmental research, manufacturing automation and product testing.
