As a Mechanical Engineering student, you'll learn to analyze, design, manufacture and maintain mechanical systems in a variety of industries, including robotics, unmanned systems, biomedical device design, power generation systems, turbo machines and more.<br>As a UMKC student, you'll have access to some of the most cutting-edge technology in the mechanical engineering industry at the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise and Research Center, which opened in 2020.<br><br>Students graduating from this program will:<br><br>Students will be able to use mathematical methods to make design decisions.<br>Students will be able to analyze conduction and convection properties of thermal-fluid systems.<br>Students will be able to analyze kinematics and dynamics of mechanical components.<br>Students will be able to develop algorithms for solving engineering problems.<br>Students will be able to analyze strength characteristics of engineering materials.<br>Students will be able to use measurements to solve engineering problems.
