Help enable self-driving cars. Transform our urban regions into ?smart cities? capable of sensing and reacting to events from simple water main breaks to major disruptions. At Rutgers, you'll tackle issues of global importance, including the sustainability of infrastructures and the impact of transportation on the environment. You'll work with faculty who developed a robot that examines bridge surfaces using sophisticated tools and a 3-D geospatial mapping instrument (used most recently to assess the damage from Superstorm Sandy).
