To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school (GED certificate may not be used for admission) and satisfy the below requirements:
You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno. The academic courses include: English, math, social sciences and natural sciences. A weighted GPA takes into account the extra difficulty of honors, AP or IB classes.
You must submit your final, official high school transcripts to support your application for admission.
SAT/ACT scores: We do not require SAT or ACT scores for admission or scholarship consideration
IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0 plus
TOEFL score 61 plus

Environmental engineers apply scientific and engineering principles to preserve, restore, and sustain the natural environment while maintaining clean air, water, and land resources. For example, environmental engineers provide safe drinking water supplies, prevent pollution of the aquatic environment, study the fate and transport of contaminants, treat contaminated effluents, and restore polluted sites.<br>Students will be able to:<br>identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.<br>apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.<br>communicate effectively with a range of audiences.<br>recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.<br>function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.<br>develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.<br>acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies
