The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers the following graduate degree programs: Master of Science (MSc), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and Master of Engineering (MEng).If you already have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university and want to take your education to the next level, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta is where you want to be. We offer exciting, challenging, and rewarding programs for bright and enthusiastic graduates.ECE graduate students work with our internationally recognized faculty in world-class facilities, and can pursue Master of Science (MSc), Master of Engineering (MEng), or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. A joint Master of Business/Master of Engineering (MBA/MEng) degree is also offered in co-operation with the School of Business. Each program lasts an average of two years, but length can vary based on the degree and other factors.Candidates may complete the program in a minimum of nine months. The maximum time permitted for completion of a Master of Engineering program is four years from the date of first registration.
