County Antrim Grand Jury Bursary

The bursaries shall assist the students in those expenses and outlays (including the cost of books approved by the School of Law) for legal research/studies involving visits outside Northern Ireland in pursuance of their legal studies, provided that the purpose is approved by the School of Law. No award of a bursary shall be made if it has the effect of reducing an award or grant from any other source. Grants from the income of the fund may be made in lieu of or in addition to such bursaries to persons qualified as above, who may thereby be assisted in the promotion or encouragement of legal education. A bursary may be awarded to: A student registered in the School of Law, or A graduate of the University in the School of Law in one or other of the following categories, namely that he (or she) is: pursuing postgraduate legal studies or-a registered student or a member of the Inn of Court of Northern Ireland or a registered student or a member of the Inns of Court in England and Wales or an entrant for admission as a solicitor in Scotland while serving as an apprentice under indenture or a solicitor's apprentice or legal clerk recognised as such by the Law Society of Northern Ireland or the Law Society of England and Wales.
